Fred Flintstone Jr.

Sullivan playing in a toy car at a Birthday party. Thought they were funny shots. Notice how red and flushed he is in the face. This was one of several outdoor birthday parties we attended so far this summer. It has been nearly 100 for the several weeks now and these outdoor parties are killing me. We all had heat exhaustion after this one it was so hot. Sullivan doesn’t complain though…his whole head will be soaked and face and skin beat red dripping with beads of sweat but he keeps going….as long as there is fun to be had there is no stopping him.
TV Star Meets TV Star

Damon calls these pictures TV Star meets TV star. We had a taping with local meteorologist Mark Murray last week for our Holiday episode of the Biscuit Brothers and I was soooo excited to go to the tv station and meet the news anchors and news team. Damon kept laughing at me cause I was behaving like someone who never saw a tv set before. Mark gave us a tour of the station and all the fancy new HD equipment. It was neat seeing Damon in the news environment since that was his world for 10 years in Abilene. We met several of the news anchors and we were surprised that they were big Biscuit Brothers fans and were excited to meet us! Anyway, it was the highlight of my week I tell ya. Here is a picture of Tiny and then me on the weather set of KVUE with Mark Murray.
Hide and Seek and Other Fun Games

Sullivan is all about playing games these days. He enjoys many of the old favorites like Hide and Seek and Peek a Boo along with his own made up games like “Night-Night” and “Weee. Well the other day Sullivan and I were engaged in an hour long Hide and Seek game which consisted of me hiding in the same place over and over again. I tease and test him with a “Sullivan where are you?” cry as he goes about the house looking. He likes to re-enact the moment of discovery over and over and over and over again and gets very upset if you hide in a different place. He will quickly scold you if you are not in the same place and remind you like a little director where the right location for the hiding game is then firmly instruct the hide and seek game to begin again with Mommy in the correct position. I caught a cute picture of him discovering me behind the bathroom door right before he did his “I found you dance and scream celebration”. Every now and then I can change location but only after he has exhausted the joy of rediscovering he old location. That first time is very funny to as he goes to the old location and when you are not there he gets this very curious face and begins the hunt. I always seem to stump him when I hide behind the drapes. He can hear my voice but never seems to find me. Fuuunnnyyy…..Our mothers helper Madeline is quickly discovering that when in doubt of what to do with Sullivan play a game of hide and seek. It is his favorite right now.
Hand Me Down Hoe Down

I brought a giant load of hand me down clothes home for Sullivan the other day. We have two families that we receive clothes from….both have multiple boys just a bit older than Sullivan so we get a good lot every 6 months or so. Well this time it included a giant trash bag FULL of shoes. I dumped the shoes out on the floor and Sullivan went to town trying them on and jumping in them and tossing them about. There were soo many that he tumbled over in them when trying to scale the mountain of shoes. Damon caught some cute pictures of him sporting some winter fur boots. It was a ton of fun indeed.
